Why
Café Minerva is still a baby when it comes to West Village restaurants—it’s less than a year old. But Matthew (the owner) has worked hard to make this place appeal to both mainstays of the Village and the passersby of New York. It’s a great place to sit and drink some high quality coffee. The beans are grounded fresh with every order and their espresso machine has no automated parts to it, it’s all made with love. I’m definitely going back whenever I need to relax, write, or just enjoy some great food in a great neighborhood. And yeah, maybe I’ll have some wine too—with a list of 20 bottles for $20, indulging your inner oenophile isn't too hard on the wallet!
